Start with 2 pieces of construction paper at least 9 inches long. (Use two different colors.)

Fold the page in half, and cut out the shape shown.

Make three cuts in each of the the folded pieces, as shown.

Weave the two pieces together to form a heart.

Cut a 6-inch-long strip of blue paper for the hanging loop.

Attach the hanging loop to the heart with glue, tape or staples. It's ready to hang on the Christmas tree!

You can also make smaller hearts by starting with smaller pieces, and making just two cuts in each half. Have fun!
